A memorial mass for Rev. Carl Schmitz, 70, will be said at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Celestine`s Catholic Church, 3020 N. 76th Ct., Elmwood Park. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7211 W. Talcott Rd. Father Schmitz was killed Thursday in the Philippines, where he had been a missionary for 18 years. He had served in China, Japan and Alabama. A native of the Northwest Side, Father Schmitz was a Passionist order priest for 44 years. He is survived by a twin sister, Marian Crimmins.
